What you are looking at is a streamlined and scaled down version of a typical Hawaiian sailing canoe. Sailing canoes were used to sail between islands. Long by 12 inches with hulls carved out of Koa covered by polished tops called “manu” in Hawaiian. Tamarind wood was used to fashion the railing.
