This simplified scale model of a Hawaiian Voyaging Canoe has been crafted in the studios of Francis Pimmel who is a renowned canoe scale modeler of the State of Hawaii.
Polynesian designs have graced the sails of contemporary voyaging canoes but never on models. For the very first time designs have been added to the sails of Francis's models. The sails for this models have been fully hand painted and are one of a kind.
Carved out of Koa wood, long by 10.5 inches, the model rest on a solid wooden base covered by a beautiful 5 sided showcase . A bronze plaque with the name of the maker has been affixed to the base.
The dimensions of the showcase are as follows: L: 11,5 ins W: 4 ins, H: 11.5 inches.
